I’m a geospatial data scientist with a passion for:
💡 Leveraging technology to tackle complex challenges and create positive real-world impact.
🛰️ Using remote sensing and spatial analysis to gain a high vantage point for observing temporal changes on Earth in the context of climate emergencies.
🌳 Developing GIS tools to prevent natural disasters and create maps that highlight environmental features, promoting nature-based solutions for risk mitigation and community adaptation.
☁️ Utilizing computer science to discover hidden patterns, mine data and leverage big geospatial data and cloud computing to study environmental changes.
🗺️ Creating clear and concise geospatial data visualizations to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
Throughout my experience at the French Geological Survey, I served as an engineer on natural hazard monitoring projects related to climate change. This role encompassed various responsibilities, from geospatial data analysis and data science to project and task management. My expertise in collecting, processing, and analyzing geospatial data to develop risk maps aligns seamlessly with climate resilience initiatives.
Some highlights from my relevant experiences include :
Working with structured and unstructured geospatial data in the field of geosciences (more than 30 projects as GIS expert and remote sensing specialist),
Managing projects and tasks at the national and global levels respectively which contributed to the establishment of informed decision-making processes,
Contributing to research works (authoring over 20 scientific publications in the field of geosciences)
My methodical approach to data analysis, combined with a warm and collaborative attitude, enhances team cohesion, and my dedication reflects a genuine passion for projects that deliver tangible benefits.
